Environmental approval and analyses of environmental impacts (EC)
A request for an Environment Impact Assessment (EIA) and an Environment Clearance must first be made by the business's owner. (EC). This can be accomplished by submitting a plan to the State Environment Impact Assessment Committee. (SEIAC). The EIA process involves extensive consultations with all stakeholders, including the locals, to ascertain the impact this process will have on the environment and to suggest and implement measures to mitigate it.
The business proprietor must apply to the State Pollution Control Board for the Consent to Establish (CTE) Certificate. After obtaining the CTE Certificate, the structure, machinery, etc., could be installed. The applicant must then reapply for the Consent to Operate by submitting an online application to the State Pollution Control Board. (CTO). As soon as the CTO certificate is issued, the business can formally launch.
